In every organisation, it is important to manage conflict proactively before it escalates out of control and impacts negatively on key relationships within the business or externally with key clients. However not all conflict is bad and it can also lead to new ways of thinking and doing but the key is to manage it in a proactive and enabling manner.
This module will focus on the different styles that individuals adopt in a conflict situation. This, in turn, enables course participants to have an understanding of the different conflict modes and how to manage through a conflict scenario. Participants will learn when to be either assertive or accommodating, compromise or collaborate and when sometimes avoidance mode is necessary.
